Submission Deadline: Dec 31
Mizzan Microtonal Piano, based in Berlin, invites microtonal musicians to participate in a collective album by sharing their compositions or performances. Any and all microtonal compositions are acceptable and must be rendered through Mizzan’s Sound Module. MSF, Scala, and AnaMark Tun tuning files all work with Mizzan.
Mizzan is thoroughly tunable. The instrument consists of 264 keys and every key may be tuned to any frequency, and they may be organised in any order. All you need to prepare is a MIDI file and an MSF tuning file.
It is recommended performers record a MIDI file from a live performance. Submission requires MIDI files, notation files, and tuning files. If the file is not generated from a live performance, a pianist will attempt to record your composition prior to the December 31st deadline.
Send submissions and questions to mizzan.community@gmail.com.
All profits from the album and subsequent performances will go solely to the composers, performers, and authors.
